The fabric used is made in Japan and is a natural cotton blend that is lightweight, making it cool and light to wear in the summer.
The slight sheen and slightly brushed surface of the dress are achieved through calendaring, giving it a casual texture that is not too formal. The peplum gathers at the waist and tucks on the shoulders add a touch of glamour, but the bell sleeves keep the design from being too sweet.
